Justice Minister Anna Koukkidi Prokopiou unequivocally stated that there is no room for dismissing Chief of Police Stelios Papatheodorou, reiterating the stance previously articulated by the President of the Republic.
During her appearance on OMEGA's midday show, ENIMEROSI TORA, Minister Prokopiou left no room for ambiguity as she affirmed that the matter has been definitively settled.
"The President of the Republic has taken a clear and resolute position on this matter. I would direct your attention to his statements, and I want to emphasize that this issue is now firmly closed.
In the coming week, the President, the Chief of Police, and myself will convene to swiftly advance our comprehensive policing strategy. Simultaneously, we will initiate the implementation of long-awaited plans for the restructuring of the Police force," Ms. Prokopiou declared.
