A 33-year-old man who has been missing since July 23 was found dead on Artemidos Avenue in Larnaca on Wednesday, with police saying evidence points to a case of premeditated murder.
The victim, who was wanted by the police and whose disappearance was believed by police to be linked to criminal activity, was found Wednesday after the confession of an arrested man, who led police to the scene.
According to the events of the case, the 33-year-old had left home at around 2.20pm on July 22 with another two people, aged 26 (a man wanted by police) and 25 (the first to be arrested in connection to the case).
At around 3.20pm of the same day, the 33-year-old appears to have contacted a friend to tell them the 26-year-old and another man had transferred him to an unknown area, and robbed him after attacking him, but he managed to keep hold of his mobile phone.
Police examinations on the mobile phone of the 33-year-old found it was powered off at 3.40pm of July 22.
Police have so far arrested three people, aged 28, 25, and 26, while a 26-year-old is still wanted in connection with the case.
