Authorities sprang into action on Tuesday evening (12/09) following a tip about an improvised explosive device found in a Limassol residence.
According to the police, at approximately 11:30 PM, a 63-year-old man named Ade in Limassol contacted them, reporting the presence of an improvised bomb near the main entrance of his home.
Following a thorough examination by law enforcement and a bomb disposal unit, it was revealed that the device was indeed a powerful explosive, which had been triggered but failed to detonate. The bomb squad safely deactivated the explosive, which will undergo further testing.
Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into this incident.
