Media reports said a fire had broken out around midnight in April Fool’s Day, destroying chairs and tables as well as causing extensive damages to a pavilion.

The local teen, who was described as a Limassol resident, was detained overnight on an arrest warrant issued initially in connection with a case of malicious destruction of property.

Police said the boy could appear in court for a remand hearing on Tuesday.

But police sources told Knews this was not fully clear as a preliminary investigation had not been completed to assess whether keeping the teen in custody would be necessary.
