Female employee arrested in Limassol on embezzlement charges, accused of pocketing thousands

A woman in Limassol has been arrested on embezzlement charges in connection with document fraud and money theft from a company.
Police detained the 28-year-old female suspect on Sunday after law enforcement officials said they uncovered evidence of theft at her workplace dated from December 2016 through June 2017.
According to police, the woman is suspected of stealing at least €26,950, part of which had been withdrawn in cash from an ATM while the rest was misappropriated through forged documents.
The suspect was arrested on Sunday around 1:30pm and was being questioned by Limassol police.
