Moving car bursts into flames (VIDEO)

A car moving down Nicosia's Griva Digeni Avenue became a moving fire pit, with all passengers thankfully distanced safely


A vehicle burst into flames as it was moving down the capital’s Griva Digeni Avenue just before 2pm on Tuesday.

Members of the police and two fire trucks rushed to the scene, with the fire being put out by 2.10pm.

The vehicle, a JEEP Wrangler, was seriously damaged, while passengers were safely distanced from the flaming car. Preliminary information points to the cause of the fire being a mechanical/electrical problem.
