Police booked over 1,100 people since Friday in the framework of an islandwide operation aiming to stamp out delinquency and prevent road accidents.
A police announcement issued on Monday said that between July 3 and July 5, checks were conducted on 633 drivers and 680 additional people.
Police booked a total of 1,100 people, 582 of which involved speeding, while over 60 drivers were caught drink driving.
Additionally, police members provided roadside assistance in 56 cases.
