Nicosia authorities are investigating a serious case of sexual abuse involving a 17-year-old girl. The incident, which occurred last September, came to light when the victim reported it to her parents, who promptly contacted the police.
The alleged perpetrator is a bus driver who regularly operated the school route in the area. Following the girl's disclosure, her parents filed a complaint, leading to the ongoing police investigation.
The case is currently in court and is expected to be heard before the Court of Cassation. The Sub-Division for the Management of Vulnerable Persons' Affairs is overseeing the investigation. Further developments are anticipated as the legal proceedings continue.
