Rainy nights and sunny delights

What nature has in store

Newsroom

Hello weather-watchers! Get ready for a rollercoaster of conditions as a low-pressure system takes center stage.

Throughout the day, we're looking at sporadic cloud cover and scattered showers, especially in the afternoon. Winds will start off breezy and variable but will gradually shift to the southwest to northwest, staying light to moderate.

Sea conditions? A bit choppy. Temperatures will hover around 18 degrees Celsius inland and along the coast, dropping to around 6 degrees in the higher altitudes.

As the night rolls in, expect a mainly cloudy sky with local rain showers and isolated thunderstorms. Winds will predominantly come from the northwest, remaining light at 3 on the Beaufort scale, except for the western coasts where they might kick it up a notch to a moderate 4. The sea will be a bit turbulent, especially in the west.

Thermometer alert: Temperatures will dip to about 7 degrees Celsius inland, around 10 along the coast, and a chilly 2 degrees in the higher mountainous regions, with a chance of frost forming.

Friday kicks off with mostly cloudy conditions, local showers, and isolated thunderstorms. Snowfall is even on the agenda for the higher mountains. Things should gradually calm down in the afternoon.

Saturday is set to be mostly sunny, though expect intermittent cloud cover. Come Sunday, scattered clouds might bring a stray rain shower.

Temperature-wise, it's a slow descent until Saturday, leveling off around the climatic averages. Sunday won't bring any significant changes.

So, folks, keep those umbrellas handy and maybe an extra layer for the temperature dips.
