Authorities in Nicosia were swiftly deployed on Sunday night following reports of clashes erupting in the Astromeritis area. The incident, which occurred around 9:15 p.m., involved approximately 60 individuals, including Greek Cypriots and foreigners, outside a local association.
Two foreigners sustained injuries during the altercation and were promptly transported to the hospital for treatment. While one of the injured individuals refused examination and left the hospital shortly after arrival, the second received necessary first aid and was subsequently discharged.
Investigations are underway to ascertain the motive behind the brawl, with particular attention being paid to the location of the incident outside the aforementioned association. Authorities are working diligently to uncover the circumstances surrounding the altercation and ensure appropriate measures are taken.
