Temperatures to remain steady until Wednesday

Cyprus will enjoy mostly sunny weather today, though clouds will develop gradually, bringing a chance of isolated showers and thunderstorms, especially in the mountains and some interior regions after noon. There is a possibility of hail during thunderstorms.

Winds will start light from the southwest to northwest at 3 Beaufort, becoming moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort. On the south and east coasts, winds will be stronger, reaching 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough, calming somewhat by the afternoon. Temperatures will rise to around 39 degrees Celsius inland, 35 degrees on the southeast, east, and north coasts, 33 degrees on the remaining coasts, and 29 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, the weather will remain mostly clear, with some low clouds forming along the coast. Later in the night and early morning, thin fog or mist may appear, particularly in southeastern areas. Winds will be southwest to northwest, light to moderate at 3 to 4 Beaufort, becoming light at 3 Beaufort. The sea will calm, becoming slightly rough to calm. Temperatures will drop to around 25 degrees in the interior and northern coast, 24 degrees on the other coasts, and 19 degrees in the higher mountains.

Looking ahead, Tuesday will see clouds developing again, with the potential for isolated showers and thunderstorms in the mountains and inland areas after noon. Wednesday promises mostly clear skies, though there may be isolated showers in the mountains in the afternoon. By Thursday, the weather will be predominantly clear.

Temperatures will remain steady until Wednesday, with a slight increase on Thursday, continuing to stay above average for this time of year.
