There were three pileups Monday morning in separate accidents on the Nicosia-Limassol highway, with police warning drivers to drive with caution and be patient.
According to police, three pileup accidents took place on the highway in the westbound lanes near Yermasogia, with a tweet on social media just before 8am saying the pileups were causing traffic delays.
A large number of police officers are in the area to regulate very heavy traffic while investigators are trying to piece together what caused the series of three separate accidents.
There was no word of any fatalities while the number of vehicles involved based on initial unconfirmed accounts could be several vehicles in each accident.
