The dramatic weather system that’s been hanging around like a lingering houseguest is finally packing its bags and heading northeast. In its place, a much-needed "weak high pressure" is moving in, which is just meteorologist-speak for "you can finally hang your laundry out to dry." Today is looking mostly clear and crisp, with a gentle breeze that won't try to steal your hat for a change.
While the sea starts the morning a bit grumpy and rough, it’ll be calming down to a manageable "slight to moderate" by the afternoon. If you’re heading inland or to the coast, expect the temperature to be a very respectable 19°C, though it’s still a chilly 8°C up in the high mountains. Speaking of the peaks, if you were hoping for a ski weekend, the snow depth at Chionistra is currently sitting at a modest 2 cm, just enough to look pretty, but maybe not enough for a gold medal run.
Tonight stays beautifully clear and calm, with the sea settling into a peaceful slumber. Looking ahead, Friday and Saturday are bringing us a lovely warm-up, with temperatures climbing comfortably above the usual seasonal averages.
Don't get too comfortable, though. Sunday might throw a minor curveball. Expect some clouds to drift back in, potentially bringing a few isolated showers from midday onwards. It’s Mother Nature’s way of making sure we don’t forget what a rain cloud looks like before the new week starts.
