22 arrested in coordinated immigration crackdown

Cyprus takes action against illegal residents


In a coordinated operation on Sunday morning, the Civil Registry and Migration Department descended on Paphos, leading to the arrest of 22 individuals hailing from various corners of the globe.

The Police Headquarters' Communication Branch announced the successful crackdown, highlighting the diverse nationalities of those apprehended.

The operation focused on identifying and arresting individuals believed to be illegally residing within the Republic of Cyprus. With the net closing in, the Migration Department, in collaboration with different units, showcased a united front in upholding the nation's territorial boundaries.
