Army rifle gets stolen in Limassol

Limassol man reports G3 military rifle, bullets, cash, car stolen from his apartment

Police are investigating a case where a military rifle and ammunition were reported stolen in Limassol, along with cash and the owner's vehicle.

On Wednesday evening, a 38-year-old male notified authorities that thieves had broken into his apartment anytime between 7:40am and 7pm and stole his G3 army rifle, 200 rounds of ammunition, and €1400 in cash.

Police told Knews that the shutter of the rifle was also stolen while it appeared to have been stored at a different location as per military instructions.

The complainant also told cops that the perpetrator or perpetrators got away by taking his vehicle as well, a green Toyota Starlet with licence plates HHP629, valued at €2500.
