An orange weather alert continues to be in effect in Cyprus with temperature highs expected to reach 43 degrees inland, while moderate levels of dust are also in the picture.
Hot weather and mostly clear skies are expected on Tuesday, with moderate winds and a relatively calm sea. An extreme high temperature warning remains in effect through the late afternoon at 5pm.
Maximum temperatures are expected to reach 43 degrees Celsius (109 Fahrenheit) in the interior, 39 in the south and east, 37 in the north and out west, while it will be 33 high up in the mountains.
Friday skies will be partly cloudy with increasing high clouds during the day and low altitude clouds appearing in the evening in the north and out west
Evening weather will remain warm with mostly clear skies and weak to moderate winds, with temperature lows at 26 degrees inland, as well as in the east and southeast, around 25 in the st and southwest, while it will be 21 in the north and high up in the mountains.
Hot weather and mostly clear skies are also expected throughout the middle of the week, while high clouds are set to appear on and off Thursday evening.
Friday skies will be partly cloudy with increasing high clouds during the day and low altitude clouds appearing in the evening in the north and out west.
Inland and mountain temperatures are expected to remain unchanged throughout most of the week, with levels dropping slightly on Thursday along the coast. Temperatures across the island are expected to drop noticeably on Friday with levels still remaining above normal averages for this time of the year. Moderate dust levels will also drop gradually on Friday.
