Cabinet green lights creation of dep. culture ministry

With the establishment of a deputy ministry for culture, the education minister said Cyprus is making an important step and gaining a special political foundation for culture

The Cabinet on Wednesday approved a bill for the establishment of a deputy ministry for culture.

In a tweet, education minister Prodromos Prodromou said “today we are making an important step,” noting that “decades later, we are seeing our country gain a special political foundation for culture.”

The bill will be submitted for a vote before parliament, Prodromou said.
