A Christmas subsidy was approved today by the Council of Ministers, chaired by President Nicos Anastasiades.
In today's meeting, the President approved the distribution of Christmas subsidies to those who are beneficiaries of the Minimum Guaranteed Income, public assistance, low-income pensioners and to others assisted by the Social Welfare Services.
Christmas subsidies are not considered as income, but as a gift, and are used to assist those with modest means.
