A warm air mass is affecting the area over Cyprus through Thursday followed by a short-lived cold front making an appearance just before the weekend.
Wednesday skies will be mostly clear with periods of increasing clouds scattered through the higher altitudes and very strong winds in the south, while there will be moderate levels of dust particles in the atmosphere.
Temperature highs will reach 29 degrees Celsius in the interior, around 23 on the western and southwestern coastline, 27 in all other coastal regions, while it will be 21 high up in the mountains.
Evening skies will be mostly clear with increasing low clouds over local areas mainly on the western half of the island. Fog conditions are expected inland, where temperature lows will drop to 10 degrees, while it will be 13 in the east and southeast, around 11 in all other coastal areas, and 9 high up in the mountains.
Mixed weather is expected on Thursday when mostly clear skies are expected but also high cloud formations on and off. A gradual drop in temperature is also expected in the following days.
Mostly clear weather is expected during daytime Friday along with low chances of local showers, while evening skies will gradually become partly cloudy with chances of showers and thunderstorms.
Saturday morning will be partly cloudy or cloudy with chances of showers and thunderstorms over local areas, while skies are expected to clear later in the afternoon.
