Clouds and rain to affect coastal and mountain areas

Temperature to reach 37°C inland amid localized storms

Newsroom

A seasonal low-pressure system combined with an unstable air mass will bring intermittent clouds and unsettled weather to the region today. Locally increasing clouds are expected to produce scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms during the midday and early afternoon, particularly in the mountains, interior, and southeast areas.

Winds will be primarily from the southwest to northwest, starting light and reaching moderate levels of 3 to 4 Beaufort. Later in the day, winds on the southern coast could strengthen to 4 to 5 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to 37 degrees Celsius inland, 31 degrees on the west coast, around 33 degrees on the rest of the coast, and 28 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tonight, expect intermittent low clouds, with areas of thin fog or mist forming mainly during the early morning hours. Winds will gradually shift to the northwest, becoming light at 3 Beaufort, with the sea calming to slightly rough conditions. Temperatures will drop to 21 degrees inland, around 23 degrees along the coast, and 18 degrees in the higher mountains.

The outlook for Wednesday through Friday shows mostly clear skies with some increasing clouds in the afternoon and early evening. Isolated showers are expected, primarily in the mountains. Temperatures will remain steady through Thursday, staying close to the seasonal average, with a slight increase expected on Friday.
