A young daycare teacher was briefly arrested following an incident at her workplace, where she reportedly bit the finger of her boss’ husband.

According to police, an 18-year-old female employee was arrested Thursday night in Limassol in connection with an assault she allegedly perpetrated at her workplace.
The young woman was working at the childcare centre when there was an incident, prompting the owner’s husband to tell her off and ask her to leave the premises
Local media said the young woman was working at a childcare centre when there was an incident around noon time, prompting the owner’s husband to tell her off and ask her to leave the premises.
At that moment, according to local reports, the woman flew into a rage and ended up biting the 52-year-old man’s ring finger.
Police said the ring finger’s proximal phalange was partially severed.
The man was rushed to the Emergency Room at a private medical centre where he was to receive treatment.
Police told Knews the woman was released after a brief detention, while she was expected to be formally charged with aggravated assault at a later stage.
The circumstances of the incident preceding the assault were not immediately known while the female suspect gave investigators a full account of her own version of events.
Knews could not establish whether or not children were present at the time of the alleged assault.
