Dolphins spotted off Mackenzie beach

Photos and videos captured dolphins swimming side by side just off Mackenzie beach in Larnaca

Newsroom

Dolphins took to Mackenzie beach in Larnaca for a swim early on Friday morning.

Larnaca’s municipal councillor Marios Koukoumas captured the scene through mesmerizing pictures and videos.

Commenting on the sight he witnessed, Koukoumas said “[Cyprus] has nothing to be jealous of in other parts of the world. Today we had the chance to wake up in the company of dolphins which, as always, were friendly and ‘social’. We all have the opportunity to live so close to so much, the point is to take advantage of it.”
