High pressure and warm air mass are set to influence the weather in the region, according to the forecast by the Meteorological Service. Dust is expected to linger in the atmosphere until Friday, with concentrations periodically increasing.
Today, the weather will be mainly sunny, with occasional high cloudiness. Winds will initially be variable and weak, reaching 3 Beaufort, before gradually becoming north-easterly to south-easterly, weak to moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be generally calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will rise to around 33 degrees Celsius inland, around 26 degrees Celsius on the coasts, and around 25 degrees Celsius in higher mountainous areas.
Tonight, the weather will remain mainly clear with sporadic increases in mid and high-level clouds. Winds will continue to blow mainly from the north-east to south-east, weak and occasionally moderate, at 3 to 4 Beaufort along the coasts. The sea will be slightly rough, but later in the west, north, and east, it will be a little rough. Temperatures will drop to around 18 degrees Celsius inland, on the coasts, and in higher mountainous areas.
Wednesday and Thursday will see particularly warm weather for the season, mainly sunny with periods of increased mid and high-level clouds. Temperatures will rise on Wednesday and remain largely unchanged on Thursday, significantly above seasonal averages.
Friday will see mainly sunny weather with sporadic increases in mid and high-level clouds. Temperatures will drop, but will still remain significantly above seasonal averages.
