Police on Friday arrested an ex-special police officer after evidence was uncovered pointing to corruption.
The suspect, a woman who had resigned from the force some months ago, was arrested after police found that prior to her resignation, she had repetitively forged the signature of an inmate who had been released on parole.
The parolee was obligated by court to present himself at a police station at regular intervals, with each presence having to be proven by his signature. Police uncovered that the inmate had never abided by the terms of his parole, as the ex-cop arrested Friday had been forging his signature.
Police internal affairs will be looking into the case.
