The Famagusta general hospital is currently treating coronavirus cases as young as 17 years old.

Though the majority of the 70 coronavirus patients currently receiving hospital care at the island’s coronavirus reference hospital are over 60 years old, a handful of recent admissions have marked a significant drop in the age groups requiring treatment.

Coronavirus cases being treated at the Famagusta general hospital are as young as 17, 27 and 31 years old, though none are in the ICU.

Meanwhile, the Makario hospital in Nicosia is also treating a 28-day-old girl with coronavirus, who was admitted after showing high fever and received specialised care, with her health showing signs of improvement. The Makario hospital is also treating another child of an older age with coronavirus.
