Police breaks up Paphos engagement party

Eight party-goers received fines of €300 each for violating coronavirus decrees such as those governing gatherings and curfew hours

Paphos police broke up an engagement party at a home on Monday, handing out fines of a total of €2,400 to the eight people found in violation of coronavirus restrictions.

Police said each person received a €300 fine for the unlawful gathering that also broke curfew.

The party-goers had gathered at a Paphos home to celebrate an engagement.
