Fans attending sports events are being warned that bringing prohibited items into a venue could result in criminal charges and fines of up to €1,000.

According to a report on Limassol Today, items banned include hard containers like bottles and cans, dangerous objects such as stones or nails, and weapons, including knives and tools.

Additionally, explosives, fireworks, flammable materials, lasers, and any items that could be used as offensive weapons are strictly forbidden.

The ban also extends to banners or media with abusive, provocative, racist, or political content, as well as drugs and alcoholic beverages. Violators face misdemeanor charges and substantial fines if convicted.
