Firefighting forces have been mobilized in the Limassol district following a wildfire that broke out between the villages of Pachna and Anogyra.
According to the Fire Service spokesperson, the fire is raging in an area covered with dry grass and wild vegetation west of Pachna.
Ground units, including five fire engines from city and district stations, were dispatched to the scene. Aerial support was also called in to contain the blaze as quickly as possible. "Two aircraft are already in operation, with three more on the way," stated Fire Service Spokesperson Andreas Kettis in a post on X.
