Despite recent erosion issues, the famous beach has been awarded a blue flag and it is designated as an accessible beach by the Cyprus Tourism Organisation.

Sitting at the very top of the Instagram snaps is Whitehaven Beach in Australia, the most photographed beach on the social media app with 129,585 photos featuring the hashtag #whitehavenbeach, according to the Daily Mail.
Hawaii's Lanikai Beach is the world's second-most Instagrammed beach with over 115,000 posts, while Bournemouth in the UK has been hailed as the world's seventh most popular beach destination with 72,503 photos posted to Instagram.
Fig Tree Bay, which takes its name after a decades-old solitary fig tree in the area, also features an uninhabited islet in the sea within swimming distance, an exciting adventure for those who want to see it up close.
