A tragedy occurred at Aphrodite's Rock in Paphos on Sunday, July 9 afternoon.
According to the Police, around 4 pm, a 29-year-old man had gone with his girlfriend to the seaside area of Petra tou Romiou for swimming. Due to strong waves, the man was unable to swim back to the shore and lost consciousness.
An ambulance was called to the scene, and the 29-year-old was transported to the hospital where, unfortunately, his death was confirmed.
The official autopsy is expected to determine the exact cause of his death.
