A man who was having a few drinks with friends on a rooftop in old Nicosia was rushed to the Emergency Room on Wednesday night but refused medical treatment.

According to local media, a foreign national was drinking late at night with a couple of friends on the rooftop of a residential building downtown when he fell and injured his head.

Police told Knews that previous reports of a confrontation or someone falling off the roof were unsubstantiated

The man, described as a Georgian national, reportedly fell on the roof surface, with police telling Knews that previous reports either of a confrontation or someone falling off the roof were not substantiated.

Last night, local media said a confrontation had taken place between foreign nationals following reports that police had received information about an injured person in old Nicosia.

All three men, who were of the same nationality, had been drinking according to police sources.

Doctors attempted to treat the injured person’s head by trying to stitch him up but he refused treatment, telling doctors he wanted to walk it off.
