In a swift serving of justice a Paphos court on Tuesday punished a motorcycle driver, arrested the day before for perilous driving, with a €1500 fine, four penalty points, and a three month driver’s license suspension.
The driver, 36, was arrested on Monday after he was spotted by the head of Paphos police, Nicos Pentaras, driving at excessive speeds and performing a wheelie stunt (lifting the front wheel of the motorcycle) on the Paphos-Limassol highway.
The motorcycle driver was stopped on Anexartisias Street in Paphos after Pentaras notified Paphos police.
The 36-year-old was arrested and detained, before facing court, which swiftly imposed penalties.
