A 6-year-old boy was left alone on a bus for an hour and a half after a summer school trip in Larnaca, prompting a police investigation into possible criminal charges.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 7, when a summer school group returned from a field trip. According to police, all the students disembarked except for the 6-year-old, who had fallen asleep on the bus.

The boy remained unnoticed until his parents arrived at the school and found him inside the bus.

Spyros Chrysostomou, a spokesman for the Larnaca Police Directorate, confirmed that the boy's parents filed a complaint, and relevant services have been alerted. The police are currently investigating the matter and gathering statements to determine whether criminal offenses were committed.
