A man from Syria was killed in a violent crash on a Larnaca highway Monday morning.
According to preliminary reports, a 52-year-old Syrian national was fatally injured in a serious accident on Monday early morning.
The Syrian man was driving on the Zygi-Psekasmenos local highway around 6am when his car collided with another vehicle driven by an 82-year-old male driver.

Both men were rushed to the Emergency Room where doctors pronounced the Syrian man dead on arrival, while both vehicles involved in the accident were said to have been declared “off the road” according to Department of Transport data.
The Syrian man was described as a manual labourer working in Cyprus. Updates on the condition of the older driver were not immediately available.
Neither of the drivers had been wearing a seatbelt according to the latest information.
Police are investigating the crash.
