The Vatican has announced the construction of its embassy in Nicosia.
Deputy government spokesperson, Niovis Parisinou, said in a written statement that the Council of Ministers today approved the lease of state land to the Vatican Government.
The plot of land, located in Aglantzia, will be the location of its embassy which will be built within five years. Construction will begin once the lease agreement has been signed and the necessary permits are procured.
