A wildfire in the "Sternoua" area near Ineia scorched approximately a tenth of a hectare of shrubland before being brought under control.
The Department of Forests, part of the Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development, and Environment, reported that the fire ignited on Sunday, March 16, at around 6:00 PM.
Fire crews managed to fully contain the blaze by 8:00 PM. A team of seven forestry personnel with two fire trucks, along with two firefighters from the Fire Service using an additional fire truck, worked to extinguish the flames.
Authorities are currently investigating the cause of the fire.
