Wizz Air tells customers to arrive 3 hours early amid global IT outage

Global IT system outage disrupts online services, free airport check-in available

Newsroom

Wizz Air has advised passengers to arrive at the airport at least three hours before their flights today due to disruptions caused by a global IT system outage.

The outage, affecting multiple airlines, has led to significant technical challenges for Wizz Air. Customers may experience disruptions across the network, with the airline's website and mobile application services temporarily unavailable.

The following online services are currently down:
- Wizz Air website and mobile application
- Booking system
- Online check-in system and display of boarding pass
- Contact Centres – new reservations and changes to existing ones

In response to the outage, Wizz Air is offering free airport check-in. Passengers are urged to arrive early to ensure sufficient time for check-in, security control, and airport-specific health and safety procedures.

"Wizz Air is working diligently to minimize disruption for our customers," the airline stated. "We appreciate your understanding as we manage the effects of the global IT systems outage."

Wizz Air assures passengers that the team is doing everything possible to address the issue and restore services as soon as possible.
