Paphos police said both victim and perpetrator were injured by the altercation, but the woman was found in a much worse condition

A 36-year-old woman was found stabbed in Kato Paphos on Thursday, placing law enforcement officials on alert.
Head of the crime combatting department of Paphos police Michalis Ioannou said the woman was stabbed by a friend of hers, a 27-year-old man, with police describing both victim and perpetrator as foreign nationals.
Ioannou said both were injured by the altercation, but the woman was found in a much worse condition.
He added that after the altercation, the 27-year-old was intercepted by members of the public, allowing police to rush the scene and arrest him.
Paphos police are to continue investigations into the incident.
