The seasonal low-pressure system is still glued to the region, refusing to pack its bags. Thursday is serving up another round of wide-open, relentless sunshine across the board.
To make it official, the Met Office dropped a Yellow High Temperature Warning for the afternoon, valid specifically from 14:00 to 17:00, because 5:01 PM is when the heat allegedly learns some manners.
Here is where the mercury lands from Thursday morning onward:
Inland: Reaches 40°C, right back in the hot seat.
Rest of the coast: Sizz... er, bakes around 37°C.
West coast: The "lucky" zone at 34°C.
Higher mountains: 30°C (your best bet if you want to breathe).
Mornings start with light to moderate north-to-northeast breezes (Force 3 to 4, hitting Force 5 in localized spots). By the afternoon, the wind swings southwesterly to northwesterly at Force 3 to 4. The sea stays fairly well-behaved with just a slight chop.
Extended outlook: Friday through Sunday
Mostly clear, uninterrupted sunshine straight through the weekend. The temperature will show absolutely zero plot twists. Highs will stay stuck above the seasonal average with no significant changes in sight.
