Today:
The island wakes up in a good mood today with mostly clear skies all around. By lunchtime, though, a few areas might decide they’ve had enough sunshine and toss in some clouds, maybe even a short, showy thunderstorm up in the mountains or the north. The wind’s in no rush, coming from the southwest to northwest, usually gentle but flexing a bit along the southern coast. The sea’s behaving, just a little restless, nothing serious. Temperature check: about 29°C inland, 28°C on the south and east coasts, 27°C north and west, and 21°C up where the goats hang out.
Tonight:
Clear skies mostly, with some extra clouds sneaking into the west and north. The wind will calm itself down and settle into a light downslope breeze. The sea will remain mellow.
Saturday:
A few more clouds wandering around. Maybe a random shower or a thunder grumble in the afternoon, especially over the mountains and the middle bits of the island. Nothing dramatic, just the sky clearing its throat.
Sunday (St. Demetrios Day - seriously, get loukoumades) and Monday:
Some clouds passing through, maybe a sprinkle here and there, just enough to make you look up.
Temperature update:
A slow slide downward through Monday, easing into what’s normal for the season. Perfect weather for eating fried dough and pretending you’re not already thinking about next weekend.
