Blackout in Cyprus reportedly affecting many areas, with EAC crews trying to reinstate power Tuesday morning

A power outage was affecting the island Tuesday morning, with many areas in the Republic of Cyprus going through a mini blackout.
According to Kathimerini Cyprus, the Cyprus Electricity Authority (EAC) located the problem and began taking steps to rectify it.
EAC spokesperson Christina Papadopoulou said electricity in affected area has already been reinstated through secondary supply sources.
The problem occurred at the Vasiliko power plant on Tuesday morning, while the extent of the blackout was not immediately known.
