Young boy who fell into a pool Thursday during swimming lesson was said to be on ventilator

A 6-year-old remains on life support and is reportedly brain dead following a pool incident last week during a swimming lesson, according to 24h news website.
According to police, the boy fell into the swimming pool in Latchia, a Nicosia suburb, on Thursday around 3:30pm.
There were no details given about the incident except to say that it took place during a swimming class.
The boy was rushed to Nicosia General Hospital and later transferred to Nicosia’s Makarios Children’s Hospital due to the severity of his health condition.
Earlier reports on Monday said the boy was declared clinically dead, but this was later retracted.
Latchia police are still investigating the pool incident.
