Newsroom

A 61-year-old British male died on Wednesday while driving along the Limassol-Paphos highway, when his car crashed onto the guardrail at the Ypsonas exit.

British national Barry Desmond Fraser was driving along the highway westbound on Wednesday afternoon, when he lost control of the steering wheel at the Ypsonas exit, according to reports.

An ambulance rushed the driver to the Emergency Room at Limassol General Hospital, where doctors on duty pronounced him dead on arrival.

Police told Knews an incident was indeed registered with traffic responders on Wednesday but did not confirm whether authorities were investigating a road accident. Initial findings pointed to a possible medical condition while a post mortem is expected to reveal the exact cause of death.

Fraser was driving to Kouklia, Paphos district, where he lived permanently with his family.
