The protocol for the introduction of the `test to stay` measure in the National Guard is expected to be submitted to the Council of Ministers today for approval.
The Defence Ministry`s spokesperson, Christos Pieris, told CNA that Defence Minister, Charalambos Petrides, is expected to submit to the Cabinet a proposal for the approval of the implementation of the `test to stay` program in the National Guard. The measure, which is already being implemented in schools, was approved by Cabinet last week for its implementation also in the National Guard.
Health Minister, Michalis Hadjipantela, is not expected to attend the Cabinet meeting since he recently tested positive for Covid-19.
According to information from the Health Ministry, Hadjipantela will have a meeting next Tuesday morning with the members of the Scientific Advisory Committee on COVID-19, before attending the Cabinet meeting which is to take place at 9:00 the same day. The Minister will discuss on Tuesday with the Committee members their suggestions which they will submit during this week.
