In line with the forecasts from the Meteorological Service, the Troodos Mountains experienced their first snowfall on Wednesday morning, covering Mount Olympus and its surroundings in a picturesque layer of snow. The event was captured in a video shared by the page Weather Forecast-ierodiakonou, showcasing the winter wonderland from the ski slope "Dias" on the north side of Mount Olympus.
As the Department of Meteorology maintains a yellow warning, the wintry conditions are expected to persist over the next twenty-four hours. Thunderstorms, strong winds, and a noticeable temperature drop are all part of the forecast, painting a serene yet dynamic seasonal picture across the Troodos region.
