The organizing committee of the Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit is pleased to announce Google's participation as an official supporter of the 2024 summit. Enrico Ciampini, a senior executive at Google Europe based in Milan, will present Google's support program for the publishing industry and the company's strategy to combat fake news.

Enrico Ciampini, Senior Manager of News Partnerships at Google, works to build partnerships with news publishers across Southern Europe. With a career rooted in digital media and technology, he has held leadership roles at Zalando and Salesforce, specializing in digital strategy and audience development. His background in the publishing industry, including his role as Head of Digital at Gruner+Jahr/Mondadori—one of the top publishers in science journalism—gives him a unique perspective on the evolving media and publishing landscape in Europe. Enrico is a prominent voice in the industry and also teaches digital media at universities in Milan, Italy.

As part of DA24’s collaboration with Google, the company will host a networking event following the summit, bringing together key figures from the publishing and IT industries.

Digital Agenda Cyprus Summit 2024: "Digital Democracy"

The leading next-generation conference will take place on October 9 at the Nicosia Municipal Theatre. The theme "Digital Democracy: Digitalisation, Innovation, Participation" will guide discussions on participatory democracy, the digital transformation of businesses and governments, attracting new talent, communication in the age of artificial intelligence, and the convergence of technology and medicine to solve previously incurable diseases.

The summit will also feature the Cyprus Cocktail Festival, an event that brings together the city and summit attendees, attracting over 5,000 participants.
