Mayor Phedonos leads the charge in festive celebration

In the enchanting city of Paphos, the holiday season unfolded with the whimsical charm of the "Santa Claus Love Bus," setting the stage for a festive journey that ignited the Christmas spirit among locals. The heart of this celebration beat at the Town Hall Square, where a welcome event for Santa on Monday afternoon marked the commencement of Paphos's annual jubilations.

Greeted by a diverse crowd of all ages, the atmosphere became electric with anticipation as the Love Bus, a magical ride with a heartwarming cause, aimed to spread joy during the holiday season. All proceeds from this enchanting journey found their purpose in supporting children in need, embodying the true essence of giving synonymous with this time of year.

Santa Claus Love Bus will continue to weave through the neighborhoods of Paphos until January 6, 2024.

The procession, commencing at 5:00 p.m., weaved through the vibrant streets of Paphos, setting the stage for an hour later when "Jingle Bell Jamboree: A Philharmonic Dance Spectacular" unfolded at Kennedy Square. Local talent took center stage, captivating the audience with performances by various artists and dance groups.

Embarking on its mission, the Santa Claus Love Bus, as of December 20, will continue to weave through the neighborhoods of Paphos City until January 6, 2024, bringing the joy of Christmas to every corner. A commitment to infuse the spirit of the season into the hearts of the community.

Meanwhile, the festivities in Paphos extended beyond the Love Bus. Shopkeepers at Ibrahim Paphos Hani organized a grand Christmas event on Sunday, featuring games, food stalls, and live performances, creating a jubilant atmosphere for all.

The weekend prior witnessed a cultural celebration at Kennedy Square titled "Folk Tradition Customs of the Twelve Days of Christmas, New Year, and Epiphany." Organized by the Ktima Folklore Club with the support of the Paphos Municipality, the event showcased local customs and traditions associated with the holiday season.

Amidst the holiday cheer, the Paphos Town Hall resonated with Christmas melodies as the children of the 7th and 5th Primary Schools filled the air with joyous carols for Mayor Mr. Phedon Phedonos and the Municipality staff. Their heartfelt performance echoed the true spirit of Christmas.

Extending warm wishes, Mr. Phedonos conveyed a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year to the children, fostering hope for a prosperous and joyful year ahead. The Paphos Municipality's commitment to festive events ensures that the spirit of Christmas illuminates the hearts of Paphos residents throughout this joyous season, creating memories that will linger long after the decorations are taken down.
