Well known R&B superstar R. Kelly was convicted on Monday of of sex trafficking and sexual harassment against young women and minors.
According to the Associated Press, the singer, known for his song "I Believe I can Fly", was found guilty after a trial lasting six weeks in which 50 witnesses testified.
He faces the possibility of decades in prison for crimes including violating the Mann Act, an anti-sex trafficking law that prohibits taking anyone across state lines “for any immoral purpose.”
According to witness testimonies, the rap star violently punished his minor victims, locking them up and tying their limbs, without food and water, when they violated "Rob's rules".
Sentencing is scheduled for May 4.
