Good news...this Monday doesn’t count!
Mondays are usually the worst, but not today! Thanks to the March 25th holiday, we can all pretend the week hasn’t started yet. So sit back, enjoy the day, and let’s talk about the weather, because, well, Cyprus loves to keep us guessing.
We just got out of winter and into spring, and what did we get? Pollen, dust, a heatwave, a cold snap, another heatwave, another dip in temps, basically, a rollercoaster. And it's not over yet. Expect it to get warmer and dustier, and then, just when we think summer’s here, temperatures will drop again. Dressing for this weather is impossible. One minute, you’re sweating in a t-shirt; the next, you’re regretting not bringing a jacket.
Today's forecast: Mostly clear skies with a bit of dust in the air. Winds will start off light and variable at 3 Beaufort, then pick up from the southwest to northwest at 3 to 4 Beaufort. The sea will be slightly rough. Temperatures will reach 24°C inland, 22°C on the coast, and 14°C in the mountains.
Tonight: Still mostly clear, but with some high clouds drifting in. Winds will be light at 3 Beaufort, and the sea will be calm to slightly rough. Temperatures will drop to 10°C inland, 11°C on the coast, and 9°C in the mountains.
Looking ahead, we’ll see mostly clear skies through Thursday, with some high clouds now and then. Temperatures will climb significantly by Wednesday, way above normal for this time of year. No big changes are expected on Thursday.
And for those still hoping for a winter miracle, the snow on Chionistra? A whopping 1 centimeter.
Enjoy the holiday, and good luck deciding what to wear!
