A tourist bus carrying 25 passengers was immobilized after it fell on the side of the road amid heavy snowfall in the Troodos area.
Due to intense weather conditions the Karvounas-Troodos and Prodromos-Troodos roads are closed for all traffic
In an announcement on Twitter Cyprus Police said ''Now in Troodos / Police officers are trying to rescue a bus with about 25 passengers, trapped due to poor weather conditions.''
Earlier Police said that due to intense weather conditions the Karvounas - Troodos and Prodromos - Troodos roads are currently closed for all traffic. The road from Platres to Troodos is only accessible for vehicles equipped with snow chains or 4x4.
